Friends and Family of Domestic Violence Victims Support Group (2016 A P/L)
This group is intended for friends and families 16 years of age and older who have loved ones who are in, or have been in an abusive relationship. Family and friends will learn about the complicated dynamics of domestic violence and how they can support their loved one. Additionally, family and friends will get support as the repercussions of domestic violence affect them as well. Contact Courage Connection at the email address below to RSVP. Women's Support Group (1991 F,P)
This group is sponsored by the Women's Resources Center. It is open to University of Illinois women, ages 18 to 25, who have been recent victims of sexual assault or dating abuse. Discussions focus on the issues of fear, shame, trust, disclosure, relationships, options, and resources. The primary purpose is to expand peer and community support and to increase individual skills in recovery. Call for meeting time and location.

Domestic Violence Support Group (2016 F,P)
This support group is for victims of domestic violence to learn about the dynamics around domestic violence, types of abuse, cycle of abuse, safety planning, legal rights for victims of domestic violence and the effects domestic violence has on children. Shelter, individual and group counseling, information and referral, legal advocacy and other advocacy services are provided. Meets Wed., 10:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at 302 S. Union, Decatur.
